I’m just a guy with a head full of useless knowledge about music and technology, sometimes nature and history. Gaming. Disney. Really, you just never know.
I also write a bit. I went through the (mostly useless) process of getting an M.F.A. in creative writing, and I spent 8 or 9 years writing about messaging and communications technologies in the Microsoft universe. (Find my past articles here and here.) Currently serving as technical writer for TestPlant, makers of test automation tools.
If any personal description of me is thought desirable, it may be said, I am in
height six-feet four inches, nearly; lean in flesh, weighing on an average 180
pounds; dark complexion, with coarse black hair and gray eyes. No other marks
or brands recollected. (Woops, that’s not me; it’s Abraham Lincoln, by way of Disneyland. Oh well.)
Here’s my (current) official author bio:
B. K. Winstead is a SoCal native who has lived in Colorado for twenty years. He received an MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State University, Fort Collins—but fortunately, after much recovery, he’s again able to write interesting stories. He enjoys loud, discordant guitar-based rock music, dressing up cats, camping in Yellowstone, and telling people what to do.
